I had my normal checkup on Tues. of this week and did a non-stress test on the baby (because I was over due) and Daniel was fine but I still had to have an ultrasound on Wed. to make sure everything was ok. When I went to get the ultrasound Daniel was still fine but my fluid was a little low and the blood flow through the umbilical cord was not as high as they would've liked. So they called my midwife at the birth center and told her I should probably try to deliver the baby today. I got to the birth center at about 2 p.m. and through "natural" inducing techniques we were able to get labor going and I delivered him at 8:52 p.m.
We are at home now (you don't stay overnight at the birth center) and everything is going great. My mom is her watching the kids for me so me and Daniel have slept all day to recover from yesterday. We are all grateful he is here.

Congratulations! You have been in my thoughts, glad all is well.
Congrats on producing another HUGE Romney baby! You had to expect this marrying a guy as tall as Greg right?
Christy,
Daniel is BEAUTIFUL and you are AMAZING!! I can't think of another woman anywhere who could be home 3 hours after labor and delivery - and then blog about it the next day. We love you all.
xoxo
Yeah!! We're glad he arrived. Get some rest while your Mom is there...you're going to need it! Congratulations!!!
Wow! Daniel is a big boy like his older brother. He couldn't be a tiny baby or he'd be squashed by his two older siblings. I am amazed at your ability to have a baby with no pain medication. You'll have to teach me your relaxation techniques. Actually, will you do a post sometime about how to go through labor with no epidural. Thanks. Love you and I'm so glad you are both healthy and well.
Congratulations and welcome to baby Daniel!!! I hope you get lots of rest and quality time with him while your mom is there.
Congrats! It is about time that Daniel FINALLY decided to make his grand appearance. I'm glad they everything well and you didn't end up in the hospital! I'm glad you got to sleep the day away and I can't wait to see you! Love ya!
Congratulations!! That is so great! He's a handsome little guy.
P.S. I'm going to need those "natural" induction ideas in a couple months.
P.P.S. Have you seen "The Business of Being Born" yet? So good. I think you'd like it. Hooray for natural childbirth!

Christy you're amazing!I have always loved your calm, peacful spirit. How else could you have a 10lb baby naturally? You have a strong mind and a soft heart! And you make darling babies.Of course Greg helped with that too.
Congrats Christy and Greg!! I am so proud of you!You look great and so does Daniel! How do you like having a little brother Scott and Stacey? I love you all tons!

Hi Christy, It's Ashley Pead. I found your blog off Andrea Paxman's. Congrats on the baby, he is HUGE. I don't know how you got him out..... Mine was 7lbs 7oz and I thought I was going to die. It was fun to see you at the airport in January. Wow, 3 kids. You are super woman! He is sure cute!
Congrats! I can't believe you went all natural. I'm the bigget baby. With Steven I arrived at the hospital at a 10 and begged for an epidural. He came 29 minutes after I walked in the doors of the hospital. I barely made it on time and he would have come sooner had I not insisted on having my beloved epidural. You're a super mom!
