Scott's 4 Birthday Bowling Bonanza and My Very Special Cake Decorating Talent

Scott is four!! WE had such a fun day!! We let Scott pick an activity during the day and he picked bowling. Check out these cute pics.
My favorite part of bowling was the little bowling shoes they had for my kids!! They looked so cute in those shoes. Stacey is throwing a tantrum because she didn't get her own ball (she will turn 3 one day, right?)

Here's the exciting birthday breakfast, with Scott's choice of cereal, Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Later in the day, he got to watch a movie during quiet time with the boys.

Then on to Chuck E. Cheese for the birthday party . . .

The best thing about Chuck E. Cheese is that there is no setup and no cleaning up after!! The kids all had fun, with the exception of Daniel, who sat in his car seat almost all night. But he looked really cute doing it.

I don't want to take anything away from Scott's bday, but I wanted to show everyone my hidden (very amateur) cake decorating talent. Here is Scott's cake decorated by ME!!

The ball is a cake too (it's supposed to be a basketball and hoop)! My mom always made us homemade decorated cakes for our birthdays, so it was fun for me to make one of my own!!

Scott is so much fun, and I am so greatful to have him in our family! I can't believe he is already four!!

Happy 4th Scotty!! We love you!! What a fun day!! And whoa!! What a cake!! I don't think I'll show Carter, he might expect the same on his big day! :) I love you guys!! Christy, since I know Greg's not part of the blogging world tell him I love him too. I just said the same thing to Spencer yesterday about Abbie. ( She won't be two forever right!!) Her favorite phrase is "do it self"

HOLY COW! That cake is awesome. How did you make a ball of cake? Mostly I am impressed with the flower tip frosting all over it. Very nicely done. I think a big bug cake would be appropriate on the 31st of August. Can't wait to see the pics.

How fun! I'm glad you updated your blog too! Your cake is awesome! I love homemade cakes like that. But I never want to eat them; I know how much work goes into them and it's so fun to just look at them!
